I have used many different jigs over the years. Ultimately, I found that a versatile semi-long shape is the best. For amberjack jigging, I usually use this type about 80% of the time. Then, one day, a young up-and-coming manufacturer approached me with the idea of creating an ideal jig. Although store-bought jigs catch fish just fine, I often found myself wishing that certain jigs had slight modifications or that there was a jig that combined the best features of multiple jigs. I realized I wanted a jig that was closer to my ideal. It seemed the time was ripe. I finally began working on creating an original jig.
My main focus was to create a pilot jig that could become the standard for amberjack slow jigging. I aimed to design a jig that could be used in 90% of sea conditions, regardless of changing weather and currents. The most important aspect was how to get a clever, over-10kg amberjack to bite. Additionally, I focused on three key points: excellent water flow during jerks, versatility that responds well to the angler's input, and a natural movement that entices even the smartest and most cautious amberjack to bite.
The ideal jig was finally completed.

今まで色んなジグを使ってきた。結局行きついたのは万能型のセミロング形状。
カンパチジギングは普段、8割このタイプでジギングをしている。
そんなとき、ある新進気鋭のメーカーの若者より理想のジグを作らないかとのお話をいただいた。
確かに市販のジグでも魚は十分釣れるのだが、
このジグはここがもう少しこうだったらとか、このジグとこのジグの中間があればいいのにとか
より自分の理想に近いジグが欲しくなってきていたことも事実。機が熟したということか。
ついにオリジナルジグの制作に着手した。
とにかく拘ったのは、カンパチスロージギングのスタンダードとなりうるパイロットジグ
さまざまに変化する気候、潮流の中、9割の海況でこのジグ一本でジギングが成立するジグを作りたい。
もっとも拘ったのは、老獪な10kgオーバーのカンパチにいかに口を使わせるか。
他にも特に大きく拘ったのは以下の3点「ジャーク時の潮抜けの良さ」「アングラーの入力に対し素直に反応する万能性」
「賢くスレたカンパチに思わず口を使わせるナチュラルな動き」この三つである。そしてついに理想のジグが完成した。
